Intellection UK Ltd provides mineralogical data for the oil and gas industry. The company is led by Stephen Jones, who initially established and was Managing Director of X Ray Mineral Services Ltd. In 2007, X Ray Mineral Services became Intellection UK Ltd and moved to new purpose built facilities at Intellection (UK) Ltd, North Wales Business Park, Abergele, LL22 8LJ, UK. The Company provides mineral analyses using both QEMSCAN® and XRD technologies. It also has a specialist forensic sampling laboratory. Forensic Geology Group of the Geological Society, London
The Forensic Geology Group is a Specialist Group of the Geological Society of London. It was established in 2006 to promote research in Forensic Geology and also to promote the use of geology where appropriate in criminal and civil forensic investigations. The Group holds regular meetings and is chaired by Dr Laurence Donnelly (Halcrow Ltd), treasurer Dr Kym Jarvis (University of Kingston) and Secretary Dr Duncan Pirrie (Helford Geoscience LLP). Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter
The Camborne School of Mines (CSM) is based at the University of Exeter's Cornwall Campus at Tremough, near Penryn. It provides highly vocational undergraduate programmes in Applied Geology and Engineering Geology and Geotechnics and an MSc programme in Mining Geology. CSM also has excellent mineral analysis facilities including an electron microprobe, XRD, XRF, SEM and QEMSCAN. Dr Duncan Pirrie is an Honorary Research Fellow within the Department. Ussher Society
The Ussher Society promotes research into the geology and geomorphology of SW England.
